In today’s fast paced world, no one has the luxury of spending a lot of time on self-grooming.
Hence, owning a hair dryer has become a necessity. If you are rushing to office after a quick shower, this gadget comes very handy.
And not to forget the styling which you can do using the curlers or even a simple hair brush and a hair dryer.
However, before buying the best product for yourself, you need to know a little bit about the types of hair dryers available in the market and which one will suit your needs the most.

Ceramic hair dryers are hair dryers that are powered by ceramic heating units, which are similar to the dryers that were powered by metal coils. Compared to them, tourmaline hair dryers use a newer technology. They are electrical devices that are made using tourmaline semi-precious stones. These stones emit ions and infrared lighting which heat up the internal circuit to produce hot air.
The hair dryer emits hot or cool air which accelerates the evaporation of water from the hair.
After a wash, there are temporary hydrogen bonds formed between strands of hair which can be moulded to take different shapes. Blow dryers can be used to control these hydrogen bonds and create a temporary shape to look good.

Prolonged usage of hair dryers is not recommended by dermatologists and doctors. It is always advisable to dry the hair partially using a hair dryer, and allow the rest to be dried naturally.
If time permits, it is advisable to use the hair dryer after short intervals of time, to avoid longer exposure to the hot air in one shot. There are some serums available in the market which can be used before using a hair dryer, so that the natural moisture of the hair can be retained while drying it.
Since men have shorter hair in general, it is advisable for them to go for ceramic hair dryers. If they are using other types of hair dryers, then it is advisable for them to use it for shorter durations. Men can apply gel on wet hair and then partially style it using a hair dryer. My final thoughts before you make up your mind to buy the right product for yourself will be to first check the reliability of the brand.
I personally have been using a metal coil Philips (1000 W) hair dryer for the last fifteen years and there have been no complaints or need for repair so far.
Since I use this product only for about ten minutes every day, and that too not continuously, it suits my requirements. I own another hair dryer which is a 1000 W turbodry Panasonic compact dryer. This is very useful when I am travelling for its fordable design.
In the salons which I have visited over the years, I have found them using Braun professional styling hair dryers which are meant for heavy usage. So whichever hair dryer you choose to buy, first read the customer reviews, and try to check with your friends and colleagues about it.
And always buy a product of a reputed brand from a reputed store (online or offline) which will respect the warranty if there is a need to do so. Happy styling!!!
